Volunteers
needed!
Calling all Wonderful humans!
To run our annual Pride event we need over 100 volunteers to support on the day. These people will help to run pride safely and smoothly and we need your help.
There are loads of roles available from joining us in the march, looking after workshop spaces, being runners for performers, and carrying our giant flags.
We have a pre arranged shift pattern system so you can choose your shift length, you do not have to volunteer for the entire day. We will also do all we can to place groups and friends together on shifts for the day too.
All volunteers must take part in training before the event for everyone’s safety
Saturday 10th May Pride Day 2025.
Questions answered:
how can i talk to someone about the role?
You can contact Annie Bennett (she / they) Community co-ordinator on on a.bennett@exeterpride.co.uk
but if you are happy to apply please fill in our form.
What is required before the day?
We need you to attend 30-40 minutes of H&S training online / face-to-face (Exeter Phoenix) in advance of Pride day. All dates and details will be sent to you once you've completed the form.
You will be expected to read and agree to our Code of Conduct and read and understand our Safeguarding policy.
We take the safety of all our volunteers very seriously. Your training sessions will cover these key documents and additional training, as well as a Q&A.
You will also be expected to attend a 30 mins sign-on and H&S briefing on the day.
What will i be doing?
We need over 100 stewards on Exeter Pride's event day (Saturday 10th May 2025) to run our inclusive event, provide support and keep everyone safe!
4 hours shifts are available between 10am and 7pm. You can choose to help out in our March, Family Zone, Northerhay Gardens or Exeter Phoenix. You can also volunteer to work all day 🙂
