Exeter Pride is back in one month!! 〰️
We’ll be taking over Exeter city centre on the 10th May 2025 for an incredible day of marching, dancing, singing, buying, partying and more.
Northernhay and Rougemont Gardens will be our hubs of activity, but you can also find Pride-related things happening all-day over at The Phoenix, Exeter Library and RAMM - there really is no end to queer talent!!
To kick off this first update and gear up to Pride our very own chair, Russell, has some exciting things to share:
“One month to go! We are so excited for Pride this year, not only to soak up the queer joy and of course sunshine but also to show you all what we have been beavering away with throughout the year. After our successful return last year, we were looking to build on that success and continue to grow Pride to put on a great event that our community deserves.
We are excited to announce that we will be having two stages in Northernhay Gardens packed with amazing local artists guaranteed to get you laughing and dancing! You may also be glad to hear that we will be having a fully stocked bar too in Northernhay, so you can have your Pimm’s in the sun whilst exploring our marketplace and watching our brilliant acts.
“After our successful return last year, we were looking to build on that success and continue to grow Pride”
As Pride has grown throughout the year so too have the plans, and we will now also be using Rougemont Gardens for our community space and family zone, as well as our dog show! Yes, there will be lots of dogs, and we are inviting you all to bring your four-legged friends with you to enjoy the festivities. You can join our march with your pooch or even enter them to take part in the dog show, where they can win some great prizes. Sign-up for this is on the day in Rougemont.
This year has been a busy year but a great year for Exeter Pride. We were successful in gaining a grant from Devon County Council in the summer and also from the National Lottery in the Autumn, meaning that Exeter Pride is in a really good position to hold a great event for our community this year. This also means we are able to plan for the future to ensure that Exeter Pride never gets cancelled again due to funding. Funding is a significant challenge for all within the charity sector at the moment, so thank you so much for the generous support of DCC and TNL and, of course, our incredible sponsors and partners that support us year in and year out who without them, we wouldn’t be here.
One final shout-out must go to Cleo Toris, who is hosting our official after-party at The Phoenix with Climax. This is not one to be missed, with 14 of the South West’s best Queens tearing up the auditorium, it’s going to be one hell of a show! Get your tickets now as they will sell out, and I shall see you all there.”
